About Me

I moved to Holmfirth 14 years ago with my family and have made the Colne Valley constituency my home.

In recent years, I have had the privilege of serving as a parish councillor and as a councillor for Holme Valley South.

I have also had the honour of serving as the lead councillor for the environment and fighting the cost of living crisis, introducing affordable food hubs across the district, introducing warm welcome spaces in our libraries, and developing a climate change action plan.

I grew up in the mining village of Caerau, Wales, and began my career as a coal face electrician.

My upbringing taught my the values of hard work and solidarity, and I was lucky to attend Ruskin College, Oxford, on a trade union bursary and later Cardiff University before beginning a career in HR and operations management.

From the mining village of Caerau to being an Operations Director for a Global IT company, a teacher in Linthwaite and a ward councillor for Holme Valley South, I have had a long and varied career which has taken me all over the world.

I’m proud of our home and I want it to be the best it can be.

That’s why I’m proud to be your Member of Parliament for Colne Valley.
