Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is a lifeline for families in our region, providing exceptional care and support to children with life-shortening conditions.
Following yesterday’s announcement that Forget Me Not has entered a period of consultation to reduce its cost base by 12% (£750,000 per year), we have written to Wes Streeting MP, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. We are requesting urgent action to expand the National Children’s Hospice Grant and secure sustainable funding for hospices like Forget Me Not. Families who rely on these services deserve certainty and support.
We will continue working with the hospice, local communities, and the Government to find solutions to this crisis.
A huge thank you to Forget Me Not’s CEO Gareth Pierce and all the staff for their tireless advocacy and commitment to the children and families they serve. ![]()
